Why the FIPO Patient Charter matters today<\/b><\/p>\n

The relationship between doctors and patients is under pressure. Healthcare systems are stretched, care is often split between many providers, business interests can interfere, and trust in the medical profession is weakened.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>FIPO Patient Charter \u00a0reminds us of what should never be lost: the doctor-patient relationship must come first. Patients have the right to make their own informed choices. Doctors must act with responsibility, skill, and compassion. Above all, medicine must always be practised in the patient\u2019s best interests.<\/span><\/p>\n
